Worship

The Parish Mass: Our main celebration of worship is the 10.00 a.m. Parish Mass on Sundays. We use Common Worship, the authorised Church of England liturgy. The service is sung. Our robed choir and Servers enhance our solemn experience of worship.

A variety of modern and traditional hymns are sung from the book 'Hymns Old and New'. There are four different Mass settings and these are alternated depending on the different seasons of the Liturgical year. There are others, apart from the Choir, who play an active role in our worship. We have a small, but keen, team of Servers who regularly take part in the Liturgy. A team of readers and intercessors take part in the service. We have a team of people who administer the Chalice.   A small, but dedicated team of cleaners take pride in keeping the Church looking beautiful.

Our Family Mass takes place on the third Sunday of each month at 10.00 a.m.   This is a shorter sung Mass for all the family, in keeping with our Anglo Catholic tradition, and allowing our young people to be more involved with our worship.

Sunday School: Children leave for Sunday School in the Parish Centre during the first hymn of the Parish Mass and return for Communion or a Blessing.

Angelus and Prayers takes place on a Sunday at 9.15 a.m.

Morning Prayer takes place Monday - Friday at 8.00 a.m. at St Botolph's.

The Angelus and Evening Prayer: at 6.00 p.m. Monday - Friday.   These traditional evening offices are said using the modern setttings from Common Worship, changing slightly throughout the Liturgical year to reflect the current season.

Weekday Masses: There is a said Mass at 9.30 a.m. on Wednesdays, using Common Worship and on Fridays at 10.30 a.m. using the Book of Common Prayer.   On Holy Days and Festivals there may be an evening celebration at one of the Churches in the Cluster (see weekly Bulletin).

Little Lambs: On Wednesday there is an interactive service and activity at 10.30 a.m. for pre-school children.
